I got a new job! Starting on February 6th, I will become a government employee as a Senior Bridge Inspector. After coming from a job that was 98% office, this will be a great change of pace as I’ll be outside most of the time. I will also a big upgrade to the professional development side of things as the county I’m working for is VERY much into promoting from within and working on professional development, which is a BIG difference from where I am at now, where it’s just come into work and make the company as much money as possible for the owners. It’s going to be a good change of pace!

Considering the state of US infrastructure (assuming you are in the US), you should be plenty busy.

That’s awesome news!
Career “development” is important but I’d put the bennies ahead of that. Does it come with decent Health and Retirement plans?

Congrats!!! I hear that too many bridges in this country are in dire need of repairs and that it’s pretty much a sleeping giant of a problem. Glad to know you’ll be on the job looking out for everyone. Good luck and stay safe out there.
